Clark Griswold created the inspiration for myself and many others to go above and beyond your standard christmas light display. For many years I planned on creating an amazing display of lights but I always seemed to run out of time. The other challenge was what type of lights should I use. I spent three years collecting standard LED strings not realizing I would change my decision and the lights I collected wouldn't not be used.

In 2014, I started to play with RGB LED strip lights as part of a Kitchen renovation. This lead me to learn about the RGB Pixel LED. So I finally purchased my first set of pixel LED's in 2017 and created four wireframe pixel snowflakes. Now all I needed to was find a pixel controller and see what I can do with these lights. I was able to complete my pixel snowflakes and put them up outside for christmas. From that moment I decided that RGB pixels is the light I was going to focus on. My daughter who was 8 at the time was so excited about the pixel snowflakes that she wanted to help me create an amazing display.

In early 2018, I started to build triple arches to include in my future display. I was bound and determined to finally put a complete show up for 2018. I started working on the 2018 show in September and started to build all my remaining elements and determine the best way to put lights on the house. I decided to create a show for halloween as my first real test of everything. My wife and daughter have been helping me with sequencing the shows and putting the elements out in the yard! Even though my wife thinks I am completely nuts she still seems to offer a helping hand.

Now the fun part! Time to start the show!
